The short version
We collect an email address so you can sign in, and whatever you type onto the tower. We never see your card details. We do not sell anything to anyone, and there is no advertising or tracking network on this site.
What we hold
- Your email address, because sign-in is a link sent to it. There is no password.
- Your bookings — the day, the slot, the price paid, and the name, tagline, colour and link you chose to display. The name and link are public by design: that is the product.
- A visitor count. Your browser generates a random id, kept in your own browser, so the counter can tell two visitors apart. It is not linked to your account and identifies nobody.
We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. The only cookie set is the one that keeps you signed in.
Payments
Card payments are handled entirely by Stripe. Your card number never reaches this site and we cannot see it. We store Stripe's reference for your payment so we can match it to your booking and refund it if needed. Stripe's own privacy policy governs what they do with it.
Who processes it
- Supabase — database and sign-in.
- Stripe — payments.
- Brevo — sending sign-in emails.
- Cloudflare — serving the site.
- Hetzner — the server it runs on.
How long
Bookings are kept while they are relevant to running the site and to our own records of what was paid. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove your address and your bookings.
Your choices
Write to [email protected] to see what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We will not make you jump through hoops.
One thing worth repeating
Skywriter is a parody with no affiliation to the Burj Khalifa, to Emaar Properties PJSC, or to any real building. Nothing you buy here appears anywhere but on this website.
